What Hiraal Lifecare is
Hiraal Lifecare is a tool for recording health measurements you have taken yourself, and for looking back at them. It keeps your own information organised and readable. That is the whole of its purpose.
What Hiraal Lifecare is not
Hiraal Lifecare does not:
- diagnose any condition, including diabetes and high blood pressure
- treat any condition, or recommend, prescribe or adjust any medication
- provide medical advice, or tell you what to do about a reading
- monitor you — no person and no system is watching your readings for signs of danger
- alert anyone if a reading is unusual
- replace the advice of your doctor, nurse, pharmacist or any other qualified professional
About the words normal, high and low
When the app describes a reading as normal, high or low, it is comparing the number you entered against a general reference range. It is not an assessment of your health.
It does not take account of your medical history, your medication, your age, your pregnancy, any other condition you may have, or how you feel. A reading described as normal does not mean you are well, and a reading described as high or low is not a diagnosis.
Only a qualified clinician who knows your situation can interpret your measurements properly.
In an emergency
Do not use Hiraal Lifecare in an emergency. If you feel unwell, or you think you or someone with you may be having a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services or go to the nearest hospital immediately.
Never delay seeking medical help, and never stop or change a treatment, because of anything you have seen in this app or on this website.
Accuracy of your readings
Hiraal Lifecare records the numbers you enter. It cannot tell whether a measurement was taken correctly, whether the device you used is working properly, or whether a number was entered by mistake.
Follow the instructions supplied with your monitor or meter, and follow the guidance of the clinician treating you on how and when to measure.
Devices
Any home monitoring device offered by Hiraal Lifecare comes with its own instructions and its own safety information. Read them, and keep them. If a device appears to be faulty or gives readings you do not expect, stop relying on it and speak to a clinician.
